that certainly makes sense. I know I try to hold the line on too many issues. I guess they should be allowed to win out on occasion..but it's just so hard when I know that I'M RIGHT!...DOH!..LOL! they always say to pick your battles and let them have some wins too. I can see how the fact that we, as parents, are willing to go along with their decisions could be a very empowering thing for a young person. Parenting: Too hard..too little knowledge going in..We're all doomed. By the time we figure out the right way to handle things that period is gone and the kids are already screwed up from bad parenting
