Looking over the press releases from the last nine months one finds the following:

informix.com

While CEO Dexmier was still in charge IFMX waited until 7/3/00, a Monday during what was for many a four day weekend, to announce a shortfall for 2Q00.

With new CEO Gyenes in charge IFMX announced their shortfall for 3Q00 on 9/19/00, along with several other announcements. The company also gave guidance for 4Q00 & 1Q01 in this release.

informix.com

On 11/30/00 IFMX confirmed its guidance for 4Q00 in response to continued selling pressure on its stock.

As we know from hindsight IFMX bettered their 4Q00 guidance by a small margin, and during their conference call guided listeners to expect sequential growth from 4Q00 to 1Q01 and beyond. So, why do I point out this history that's easily accessible for anyone? Because the stock has sold off steadily in recent weeks as though IFMX was going to miss their targets.

I pose this question for the thread: If IFMX were going to miss their numbers for 1Q01 don't you think Mr. Gyenes and his team would've made that news public by now?
