My kids always sit in the back, away from the airbag. I had a (legal) switch put into the car to turn the passenger side airbag on and off in those rare instances when a kid needs to sit in front.

Officers carry handguns because they're main purpose is to direct, and not fight. Are you saying that they carry them because they are more effective than rifles? Please.

I will repeat: the 2nd amendment is not a gun law. It merely protects the rights of the "well regulated Militia". Your intepretation is wrong.
