I am not aware of the situation in Australia, but common sense would suggest such a result. How people figure that making more laws will reduce crime or firearm deaths when the laws we do have are not followed or prosecuted strongly enough is beyond me. It also offends me that people like me are portrayed as a danger to society when in actuality society itself is fairly dangerous and I am only exercising my constitutional right to protect myself.

Old Kevin stated without ever meeting me or knowing what level of competency I have with a gun that I would probably shoot the cops or myself in an emergency. Pisses me of somewhat. I don't tell others they should have a gun and respect their right not to have one, but they have no problem telling me (and other responsible gun owners) I should not, even though the Constitution of the United States grants me that right.

Where is the logic?
