Enough, thanks...I'm an idiot...there, we're all happy.

"I haven't lost" is hardly my investing style. However, I am not prone to disclosure because, quite frankly, I don't feel it is anyone's business. When the market was up, I don't feel it is worth my time to jump up and down gleefully anymore than it is to engage in enjoyment in watching others investments wither. To the point, I don't disclose my position because it matters little, so I will say "I haven't lost" because it is neither hot, nor cold.

Suffice to say, I live my life in a manner that I am comfortable, provide food for my family, and meet my bills, all the while accumulating sums for the future. If I told you my net worth is more than triple now than it was 3 years ago, would that make me any more intelligent, witty or happy? Would it make you think I "know" something? Would it make me an authority?
By telling you my net worth is triple (ok...there is some disclosure for you disclosure happy people, and that is without stocks), I tell you nothing about myself or my style or my psychology.

Now, as for Jay toying with me...that may be. In my last post to him, I acknowledged as much. His method of argument is to search for little things that seemingly contradict previous statements....much like a lawyer. I suppose he is one. Perhaps not, but certainly skilled in language. I'll give him that.
I am not eloquent. Never claimed to be. My IQ (disclosed elsewhere) is primarily due to an annoyingly strong math propensity. I'm sorry that I can never explain my points as "clearly" as Jay.
One thing that I am sure of is that Jay never piled on straws, as you seem to imply. He did pile on alot of quotes from "authorities". He did pile on a few indicators that he seemed to feel are meaningful (housing prices in San Fran?). I responded with my strength - real economic indicators. That is the basis of all my decision making. Fundamentals.
Ooopps...now there was a mistake...not all. I did try technical analysis and was only ok with it. Never good. Made my worst pick (CNXT) using the tech analysis. Oh well...c'est la vie. The point is, I lead with my strengths.

I have only said that Jay's points didn't matter when they, well, frankly, didn't. I responded with 4 points of my own that he promptly pooh-poohed on his own. However, they hold far greater value than any other he made because they all have historical reference behind them. They have a track record.
Jay responded that this time was somehow different. Gee, now that sounds familiar. I remember the New Econ guys saying the same thing.
I have, however, in every post, mentioned that I am willing to change my position as economic indicators imply that things are going, somehow, wrong. As of now, they are not. In every post, I have also said that while I use indicators that have an historical precedent....history can surprise. Jay MAY be right. I haven't ever said otherwise. Quite to the contrary. I have, time and again, said that things may happen the way he thinks they will. I have simply said I doubt it, and for XYZ reasons...this is why.

I am sorry that my argument holds no water with you. I am sorry I am not eloquent. I am sorry that I don't share your opinion. I'll try to do better next time.

As for my myopia...well, I won't presume that I have been perfect. I've made some bad calls. But I doubt you've never suffered from the same thing. I never insulted you by suggesting that you take a 2X4 to your head, but that is precisely how you introduced yourself to me. So, with respect to glass houses....I suggest you tone down your violent overtones. I never threatened Jay or you, nor suggested that either of you take a flying leap, or jump in front of a truck...nor would I.
However, Jay made it clear that my posts are drivel. After inviting me to join this thread. I find that a bit annoying and rude. As for your statements regarding my posts...well, you didn't invite me, so I'm not PO'd at all. You're welcome to your opinion. I've already made my apologies for lacking the eloquence you so deeply desire.
