Going down a rat hole... I agree that military officers carrying handguns is a good thing. I never stated that guns should be taken away from the military, or from peace officers, just from the general populace. I also agree that the "well regulated Militia" should be armed; namely, National Guard. The "unregulated Militia" (all able bodied men) is certainly not covered by this amendment, and thus should not armed.
