<<<<<The "we" refers to myself in conjunction with millions of other people--whether scholars or otherwise.>>>>

Sort of like a vise to give your words more credibility...yeah? Even threw scholars in there too. I mean if that doesn't make you look more intellectual what will!

<<<What do you think of that tricky Jesus? Even His disciples acknowledge how sneaky he was.>>>>

Had you been sitting in the crowd listening to his sermon on the mount I can just see you getting up, walking away, patting yourself on the head as you would a faithful dog and saying, "that tricky person sure didn't get the best of me".

<<<<This is not the only time Matthew demonstrates his belief that God's message of salvation was not to be wasted on Gentiles.>>>>

The Great Commission reads out of the book of Matthew: That's right M A T T H E W......

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

You completely missed what was going on, solon! The great commission couldn't take place until the mission of Jesus was fulfilled.
