hey, i am not pushing northern trust articles. there just happen to be some good ones there lately. this one shows graphically and verbally the hell there is to pay now for all those stock buy back programs that dell, ibm, and so many others played in the last ten years. another point of the article is that many corporations are being forced to reduce or freeze capital spending due to stock buy back debt tricks used to boost earnings per share.

so not only the us consumer has no savings and lots of debt, but also the us corporations have debt up to their eyeballs. the oil and ng companies have internal money to spend, but the rest of the economy may seize-up -- even with the easy money coming via the fed easings.
