Win-Lose-Draw, re: "Maybe the game is a little larger than this ..."

I agree completely. The "game" IS bigger than "this" and, if we are to survive, we need to build associations and friendships along the way. IMHO, that applies to all levels of society ... including the Presidency.

When the President said that (semi-quote) "Russia is neither a friend nor an enemy to the U.S." --- he ruined a decade of peace negotiations. IMHO, what he should have said was "We share the joy of the Russian people in their discovery of Democracy and, despite occassional and predictable setbacks, we support their moves toward democracy and a free economy.

Since GWB has no clue as to what it takes to be diplomatic, investors should factor that into future stock prices. The markets will pause to factor in "a dumb President from Texas ... whose father wasn't a whole lot better" and then move forward. Once everyone gets over their disappointment, perhaps we can all make a buck.
