Sort of like a vise to give your words more credibility...yeah? Even threw scholars in there too. I mean if that doesn't make you look more intellectual what will!

Chris, I didn't throw scholars in; I threw in other people such as yourself. Most people have never read the bible, and they could not give a fiddler's furuncle who or what Matthew was. But that is what we call the author of Matthew--Matthew.

You completely missed what was going on, solon! The great commission couldn't take place until the mission of Jesus was fulfilled.

Somebody is missing something, Chris. Let me tell you what I didn't miss: I didn't miss the fact that Jesus spoke in parables so that the gentiles would not be able to understand the teachings, lest they be saved. We have Mark: "...all these things are done in parables: [in order] that... they...not perceive...and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.....But without a parable spake he not unto [his disciples]: and when they were alone, he expounded ALL THINGS (emphasis by editor) to his disciples. (Mark 4:1-34)"

I didn't miss that jesus was very pointed in this matter--and also EXTREMELY CLEAR. I didn't miss that Jesus believed that those not saved would be tortured forever in the unending agony of hellfire. I din't miss that Jesus wanted these gentiles (Mark 4:1-34)--not just to die and cease to be--but to suffer forever, not for anything they did ot didn't do...but for the sole "reason" that they were not born Jewish. I didn't miss that Jesus acted intentionally to cause these horrific consequences. This is far worse than murder. Oh, and one other thing I didn't miss, Chris: I didn't miss that you seem to be bothered by this--NOT ONE WHIT.
