As for the Bush Boom, we'll have to get over the Clinton Recession - started last Sept/Oct - and the Clinton Bear Market - started March '00 - first:

TIME poll just out: most Americans believe that Bill Clinton is more responsible than Bush for current declining economic conditions - 59% say Clinton, 23% say Bush.

Bush and Cheney were smart to tell the truth. Gephardt wasn't - he said the US was in recession on Jan 2.

Clinton and the Dems entered office during a great boom and left office with the economy in decline. That's always the pattern.
