Doug is all about collusion of several mutual funds with the help of the companies investment bankers. To get the investment banking business those companies were asking for positive recommendation to be issued by the analyst in the related WS Houses. M&A work is highly lucrative even more so than IPO's especially after they discovered the accounting loopholes available in a stock swap acquisition. There are even rumors that the big 3 or 4 .. GS, MER, C, MSD and LEH ganged up in October 1999 with their institutional clients and outlined a strategy how to run up tech stocks. Since the sharp run up evidenced in many DOT.COM and other hardware stocks. Their plan was based on inside information from the FED about the upcoming flood of liquidity to ward Y2K and they also sensed that the FED is buying the "new era productivity" hook and sinker. TO be clear it is all criminal by US law and if the SEC would have done their job as eagerly as they acted to dismember Drexel 11 years ago most of the officers and analyst were spending by now jail time. Unfortunate they did not act at all. Now we are facing the results of the SEC failure to act. Yes they persecuted a kid in New Jersey who made some peanut money compared to what the real criminals have done but that is a different story. The truth of the matter is that the present environment is hurting not only the US economy but also the National Security of the US. People do not realize how much damage was inflicted to the US as a whole starting from money flow to brain drain. Many unhappy high tech workers will pass sensitive technology to entities hostile to the US ...... for the higher bidder ...... it must not be classified material but the puzzle of bit and pieces of technological know how adds up to very classified issues. Neither this administration nor the FED and other government agencies are realizing the severity of what is going on until we will be hit by the un expected. They all related to a burst bubble but the splinters have very important information for US enemies all over. BWDIK Haim
