Teresa and Co.

Just getting back into the futures game after a year break (just stocks/options for the last year). I have a few questions that I hope some knowledgeable people on this thread might be able to answer. These questions are all geared towards day/swing trading the NASDAQ and S/P Minis.

1. I am Canadian and currently have an active Lind-Waldock account. I know many of you have switched over to Interactive Brokers (http://www.interactivebrokers.com/) because of the price/reliability/interface. However Interactive Brokers will not take Canadian accounts under any circumstances and will not provide a date when they will be signing up Canadians. I am paying $15 for a round trip at Lind-Waldock and the service is mediocre at best. I also don’t like LW's trading interface – I have used much better platforms. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good futures broker that signs up Canadians? I don’t want the hassle of opening an off-shore account to open an IB account if I don’t have too.

2. I used Qcharts in the past for futures trading data. However their services were going steadily downhill last year and from understanding they have only gotten worse over the last year. Can anyone suggest a good data platform that is flexible, reliable and reasonably priced. I am not cheap but I don’t want to blow $600+ a month for just a data feed if I don’t have too.

3. For people using Tradestation/Metastock Day Trader as their platform. It used to be a real hassle for data feed and the cost was a bit to chew on. Could anyone please provide feedback on their current systems, data feed costs and problems. I have gone over all the information on the Tradestation and Metastock websites and SI but I like to hear directly from unbiased, professional power users.

All comments and answers are very appreciated and I hope I will be able to contribute some of my knowledge to the thread in the future.

Regards
John
