<.. I search for "best of breed", "strategic partner", "convertible", "lessor of" and a few others I don't share. >
Actually, that particular phrase had not even caught my eye. Where else have you seen the term "best of breed". What other companies can you reference that have used that phrase in press releases? Also, what other phrases are you not sharing. Please do share them. If others use them to short the same companies, it could only help your short position, right?
I have been shorting and covering INRS since 2/9/2000. I chose it because it was near a peak, found a lot of insider selling and I was not that impressed with the company in general. It's down quite a bit from it's high now and I wondered if anyone else had any opinions. In looking back at my shorts over the last year, I found that if I had not covered any of them, my gains would have been higher by about sixfold. But that may very well be because of the type of market we have seen. Hell, if I had held all my longs, I would probably be near broke by now.
I am pleased to have found this place where we can discuss shorting strategies and specific companies without getting all that venom from the longs. Other recent shorts have been EXBD, MANH and AMSGA. At the moment I have covered everything other than reshorting INRS again on Thursday.
