Any new technology is more expensive at the beginning. Then, the methods of manufacturing are improved, and the economics of scale take over. To dismiss alternate renewable energy sources because they are expensive now is extremely short sighted. I agree that they are will save us from today's crisis, but maybe from tomorrows.
