Ascend: Turkey Time.

Ascend is priced as if it will only match estimates.
It is locked in this base. Failure tokeep pace with
the market, if it continues, cannot be ignored, but
keep in mind the severe damage the price sustained.
Due to this damage, I think the short term
failure to move with the market is a less compelling
justification for abandoning the investment than others
may argue. Still, the longer the price stays here, the
greater the chance it will indeed go lower before rising.

Nevertheless:

It is possible the recent comments by Ascend
was a preannouncement of tepid earnings.

Everyone ask Ascend if this is the case, they
have an 800 number. They must clarify the
uncertainty introduced by the continued depreciation,
especially since they were compelled to comment on the
price movements with a vague statement.

Companies are required to immed notify investors
of any business development which has the potential
to adversly affect the market for the stock.

Ascend must tell us--now--if earnings will
be within the current estimates, and no higher.
