I was made aware of this board today from a post on the Drbob board. I am going to buy a new computer within a couple of months, and need some help. I am considering a DELL, I use my computer mainly for online investing information. My wife downloads a lot of music and uses corell and several other office programs. I currently have 2 CD's..one is an RW. I have a Compaq now, 475, the hard drive is 8gig..but quite slow. 64meg Ram, which for some reason dosen't seem like enough.(got one of those'not enough memory' messages today. Currently using Ameritech DSL. I don't want to spend a bundle, because I do not need the latest and greatest. Any suggestions on hardware, software, and windows 2000 vs. ME would be greatly appreciated. TIA..Jim
