Gottfried....all this circular talk about the tops, or bottom of the cycle.

Had I bought AMAT at over $100.00 per share over a year ago I would be nicely profitable by now. All this mental hand wringing over entry points on AMAT is overdone.

In Two years using just NVLS as a covered all write my profits are 200% of my acquisition cost or an acquisition cost of (minus) -$46.00 per share.

The correct question should be ..."if I buy AMAT tomorrow... just what the hell do I do with it?"

Jacob by going long and short. and Ian by selling puts, and myself by selling calls, will do very well while the rest of the thread viewers are debating if the water is to hot or too cold.

Regards, Jerome
