Ausdauer, I recently became a grandfather and couldn't stand the thought of time passing by without capturing my granddaughters progress. Although I am far from an experienced photographer, I ended up getting a Nikon 990. It has many features that I won't utilize at this point, But I liked the basic design, quality and potential options for the future.

Over the last week or so, I have taken several hundred shots and really enjoy the freedom a digital camera provides. However, it seems like I am always getting shots that are too dark and require editing. Although I realize that the built-in flash on most digital cameras is inadequate, I have to think there are settings I can use to improve on this.

Are you or anyone else aware of any sites or information available that would deal specifically with using this camera and or optional equipment for it. It may be that inside shots require the use of an add on flash unit. I know you are quite experienced in this area and would appreciate any comments you or others may have.

Best Regards, DW
