Mary,
"I only know about Westergaard.."
Finally, a statement and a post with a truthful fact and the rest as opinion. You are right, many early stage companies struggle for capital and use professional paid promoters to help get it. Many early stage companies fail.
You have a beef with Westergaard, does that make you Pluvia? I remember shorting PLSIA and doing well at it. I also shorted VISX when it got to ridiculous valuations. Was VISX a scam? In neither case did I rely on stock boards for information but as a tool to point out where reliable information may be found. If people run to a stock because of Westergaard, they are sheep, but they are also sheep if they run from a stock because of a long ago Westergaard connection.
I will be watching this board and will be looking for opinions about ASTN stated as fact.
As a shareholder in this company, I expect and will request the company to fully pursue and prosecute those who make intentionally false and defamatory statements that may injure the company or my investment in its stock. That is the responsibility of the Board of Directors (who represent and are elected by the shareholders) and, as the President/CEO works for the Board this is a task that should be delegated to him.
Mary, here is the first Amendment, it only protects you from the Federal Government. (Which, I understand has "ties to organized crime" because it is actually providing free housing for many people who have been convicted of violating federal SEC laws).
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Now, despite this amendment, Congress did create the SEC in 1934 and it does tightly restrict speech regarding publicly traded companies. Also, speech which is untrue and intended to harm others as well as speech advocating the violent overthrow of the Government is illegal and carries civil and criminal penalties respectively. In fact, many of your complaints center around your impression that the SEC has "failed to regulate the illegal speech" of Westergaard. So, as you complain about that (which, true or not, I feel has nothing to do with the current company ASTN) be very careful that you do not fall in the same category as your sworn enemy.
The Chinese have a saying, "When you set out for revenge, first dig two graves."
