Tuesday June 3 1:27 PM EDT Firearms Training gets FBI, NYPD contracts SUWANEE, Ga., June 3 (Reuter) - Firearms Training Systems Inc said Tuesday it has won contracts to supply the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New York Police Department with interactive firearms training simulation systems. A company spokeswoman would not disclose the total value of the contracts but said they are worth ``a few hundred thousand dollars.'' Both the FBI and the New York police use Firearms training systems already, the company said. The FBI has ordered 10 additional systems, it said. The New York police ordered four new systems and an upgrade of an existing system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I would guess that these two contracts are worth about $1 million since the machines go for about $65,000 a pop.
