Fyo,

No PowerNow! support for desktop Palomino

That stinks. My bet is the reason may be marketing, more than architectural. Right now, notebook chips are far higher than desktop chips, and if a desktop chip has the same features as notebook, the vendors would be able to just use cheaper desktop chips, reducing AMD's potential revenue.

I have a feeling though that once there is competition in the notebook prices the prices will go down rapidly (but still much higher than current AMD ASP)

No >256kB L2 cache in the server Palomino

I have a feeling that AMD has a capability to do it, but it may not not be cost effective to start another low volume line, unless a strong demand materializes, making it not so low volume, and more financially attractive.

Tbirds aren't supported by 760MP

That's not what Ace's report said. It said "The bad news is that AMD does not support dual Thunderbird systems. Running two Thunderbirds on a motherboard based on the AMD-760MP might work, but AMD advises against it. Which may be like dual Celerons, that were not supported by Intel, but possible (I am running a system like that).
