Peace, I have a problem with that. Matter of fact a BIG problem. If I were to place an order for those 250k shares I could do it with a limit order or a market order. I could also allow it to be filled in partial trades or I could require it to be filled "All or None". But where do I get to request an MM to accumulate those shares to fit my price and then announce or report it after the market is closed? I'm serious, because when I buy large chunks of stock it drives the price higher...unless it's during a sell off or bought over multiple trading sessions.

From what I've found so far in checking into this. Either the order should not have filled or should have filled in parts during the market trading and reported as it filled. Further I'm informed that block trading desk serve only to check with other MMs to find additional shares to fill large orders. Also please explain the "agreed upon markup" you refer to...I'm getting the ole Wolf Eye from some officials on that one. And I'm told there is no lag time involved in knowing what the market maker has paid for shares he or she has acquired in order to fill a large block trade since the computer software automatically adjusts the price with each accumulation of shares by the mm. We are NOT using an abacus anymore. <GG> Not arguing, but am just concerned.
