What is especially interesting is the rapid correction to excesses in Dow/Gold ratio being high. That suggests that when the ratio is high, the safer investment position is gold over Dow. There may be other investment options that are superior, but I haven't seen other comparisons. There is currently a high probability that investment in the Dow can hurt an investor while gold may help an investor in the near term. Maybe the Dow/Corn ratio looks the same? While I don't have the data, I don't think so.
