Probably a mix of truth and rumor. Here in Idaho they are going to put out 30 mobil generators to help make up for the low snow pack and resulting loss in hydro power. However they are not going to put them at anyone's houses etc. It is also a real power company, IDA. They are simply going to put 30 generators at various existing sub stations for the summer to help in demand.
