Of course your personal situation changes your approach to the issue. Everything that you are, everything that you experience makes you you, and not me, and makes you hold the ideas you hold and not the ones I hold. I don't know how to parse out your experiences, so we couldn't possibly tell how much of you is the way it is because of the government regulation of seatbelts and your inability to get one to fit you, but to say it doesn't affect your approach seems disingenuous to me. Your anger alone, about this issue, is clearly affecting you and your approach. Your normal carefully reasoned approach to issues disappears when this topic area comes up. I can certainly understand your anger, don't get me wrong. It just seems to be affecting you a lot more than you may realize. (understandably)
