My mother is a full time geneologist. Interesting stuff. Like the story of the only man at the Alamo who got out alive - a Rose! Not sure if we're directly related; he was a Frenchman who had fought for Napolean. When Travis drew the line, the story goes, he was the only man not to cross. Had his fill of fighting and seen enough dying, I guess. They wished him well, he slipped over the walls and made it out safely. Wonder why that never made the history books; guess its more glamorous to assume that everyone died.
