Grace, IMHO you are being silly here. If someone just shows me a graphic without telling me how it was built, then it's just a cartoon. My logic here is not inconsistent. TA has a long history and a proven track record. There are hundreds of books on the subject and thousands of serious practitioners. It is a genuine field of study. It is not the holy grail, but it is a good tool. As for nothing predicts the future, nothing... well, strictly speaking this is true. However, if you give it some leeway then it is obviously false. If it were not so, then at least half of the calls I make would be wrong. Besides, as I have often pointed out, TA is not about predicting the future. It's about identifying good risk:reward setups -- if this, then there is a higher likelihood of this.
