Since so many Americans participate in the stock markets, and because of
huge losses this year, I wish that the capitol loss that one writes off against
ordinary income could be increased. At this time, the maximum loss that
can be written off against ordinary income is $3,000.00.

A few years back the amount that could be written off against ordinary income was $5,000.00.
Surely, an increase in the amount that a person or family could write off would provide a little tax
relief for the middle class and others.
