About the rydex ratio, I am familiar with it but no one, that I know of, takes in the dollar cost averaging aspect. I know two people who send a monthly check into the rydex funds, one does the naz and the other the s and p. How many people do this? Is there something published on this? I do not know , but this surely could skew the numbers.
