Greg, there is plenty of historical evidence that points to that. Have you looked at long term charts of the DOW? After every big boom there has been a 10 and sometimes 15 year bust. I am not saying we go down for those 5 years, I am suggesting that we more or less go sideways from here for 5 years. Look at the charts.

Unfortunately we have not even stopped the decline yet.
I am firmly convinced that the bottom is not in on the Naz and is not even close on the NYSE.

Zeev sees a 5 year sideways action too I believe.

So... Unfortunately yes.
What I do not like is the choppiness of the market. I am not a good trader and I would rather we trend strongly. We do have a strong long term trend but the day to day stuff has me pulling my hair out both ways. I guess I better get used to it but having lost my ass last year I am too nervous for my own good (whether long or short). My plays with options, but keeping heavy in cash gives me comfort and I will contine to play that game until it stops working.
