Rich:
These are some random and probably incoherent thoughts.
It is true that most of the world is not Christian, but most Americans are. Also, most religions as far as I am aware, even if not Christian, do not favor abortion.
I do believe at some point abortion is murder. I am not certain that I can be sure when that is. This belief is not based on religion, but it appears to me that it is impossible to argue otherwise. It is totally ludicrous to say that 15 minutes before birth and before we get the head out of the mother, it is a fetus and can be killed, but after that it is murder. It flys in the face of logic.
It seems to me impossible to argue that at some time the fetus before birth, the fetus is a human being and at that time whenever it is we need to prohibit abortion.
Also, the Supreme Court recently decided the Partial Abortion Case. I don't recall the name of the case, but in it they described one of the procedures for late term abortions. I was appalled and shocked that this involves literally dismembering the fetus to remove it. We are talking if I understood correctly, 2nd and third trimester.
If that were done to an animal there would be a hue and cry and yet we do this to a fetus, without knowing if it is human, without any concern at all. I just know this is wrong.
