The play of the day is determined by which mutual funds are being redeemed that week/day, growth or value.

There's no money going in so its just fund managers moving money quickly to the most oversold group at the time, or selling anything thats gone up to cover the other stuff.

Margin calls on institutions, tax selling by individuals, and window dressing are factors also.

The rapid money rotation is a clue that we havent seen the bottom yet imo. The waves are too choppy, the bottom is flat.

Another big clue we are still in a bear market: Stocks gap up after sell offs.
