Scumbria,

I think I remember the events themselves exactly as you do I just have a different perspecive on interpretation of them.

Jim McMannis said: "When things got tight. IBM undercut Cyrixs prices and took the profit right out from under Cyrix."

The operative phrase to me is "When things got tight". In that statement there is implicit admission that IBM may have been having problems redeeming the value of their fab payments. Did you expect them to just sit by in a tight market and say, "oh it's ok Cyrix you sell first, we'll just sit on our unsold inventory, we didn't really need payment anyway" Maybe that would be some people's view of good customer relations but in my opinion it's not very realistic.

Regards,

Epinephrine
