IF, and that's a big IF, the sample size is represenative of the general population, a sample of only 5000 should have an accuracy + or - a few %. Even with a population this big. Of course, if you f*ck up the sample like Florida, results can be way off.

I look at it like this, J5P is getting a big dose of manipulation from the the mainstream press. How many times does he hear "the bottom is in", "things aren't that bad", "rate cuts will stimulate the economy", etc.

At some point, when J5P capitulates, he gives the middle finger to everyone and stops buying the lies and then consumer confidence falls off a cliff.
