Hehe, I like the "most of us" part :) I agree with you about most of what you are saying and I am not necessarily saying that IBM couldn't have made better decisions, just that it's unlikely that they deliberately set out to screw Cyrix. In fact all this talk about Cyrix is a tangent to my original assertion that any action that IBM took was allowed by the contract that Cyrix/IBM negotiated at the outset of their agreement. Which is to say in other words that it is incumbent on AMD to negotiate a well thought out contract that covers all bases (or does it's best to) and that their partnering with IBM does not necessarily mean they will be screwed.
