moving to propane or natural gas, if one already uses those for heat simply concentrates ones exposure to price moves in those ... I want a gasoline fired generator myself, but for another reason -- backup for ice storms even with a "free" supply you can't justify a fuel cell's capital cost/kw, unless of course there are no distribution lines within several miles of your location -- that woudl be a different story
