Before you get too upset about the other 49 states paying for CA, I would carefully check your figures on what percent of federal revenues are sourced from CA, and what percent of federal expenditures are destined for CA. CA has a GDP of about $1 Trillion, which by rough math is just over 10% of the US total. I would expect that federal revenue is commensurate with that 10% number, but I doubt you will see expenditures destined for the state near that number. While this is a CA problem caused by a botched attempt at deregulation, don't kid yourself about this being a national issue.
