earlie,

go here to check out camera reviews. i'm leaning heavily toward an olympus c-3000 i can get for $510 at sears since they match internet prices. 3.3 megapixel w/ lots of good reviews - see sample photos on site below. the down side is that it comes with essentially no accessories and it isn't small. however, it does do small quicktime movies. if you want hires then you need a separate dedicated video unit. i can attest that pictures off a video unit suck.

pcphotoreview.com
epinions.com
computers.cnet.com

when you find what you want, then check out...

pricegrabber.com
streetprices.com
pricescan.com

when you know where you want to get it on the net (sears matches internet prices)...

resellerratings.com

also check out the following link to see if you can get a deal on a new or refurbished digicam (be careful as some dopes over pay!)

ubid.com (only if you get a good deal!)

and for add'l storage media...

pricewatch.com
ubid.com (but only if you get a great deal!)

let me know what you pick up.

ps - i could hook you up with some more links if these aren't enough to keep you busy ;-)
