Mike, unfortunately filtering is of some value in keeping access to adult content material restricted. If you read the TOS of geocities for example you will find that they publish restrictions. I was curious about how accessable sick material was on the internet and created some robot scripts to search and find what would be most likely adult content. Linux has a text only browser lynx that make searching just using words easy. lynx -dump "URL" gets just the links and pointer and filtering for jpg files quickly identifies the signature of a porn page. There are thousands of pages of porn at geocities. I have emailed geocities abuse several times with links to the porn pages and have seen no action taken. So monitor well your children and the best way is to have a program that logs every place they visit. Review it. btw, I've said it before, I really find your posts extremely rewarding to read. tom watson
