Scumbria: Can you elaborate on the need for a DSP processor? Audio and Video (de)compression would probably be the main usage. Sure, you _can_ do this with a normal CPU, but then you _could_ do floating point math with pre386DX x86 processors ;) There are other uses as well(e.g. networking), but many already have dedicated processors in computers today. -fyo
