Power-One Announces Another New Product: New 30 Amp Half Brick
High Power Density Product Developed in Response to Communications Industry Requirements
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 2001--Power-One, Inc., (NASDAQ: PWER - news) an industry leader in power conversion equipment for the communications industry, today announced a new 30 Amp 1/2 Brick DC/DC converter. This high density DC/DC converter was engineered at Power-One's Boston R&D center in response to the needs of the communications industry.
Another new product in a planned series of introductions of new telecom power products
The introduction of the HLS is one of a record number of new product introductions the company expects to make in the coming months and reinforces its strategy to more aggressively target the fastest growth sectors of the communications markets. Samples, and production volumes, of this new 30 Amp Brick are currently available.
The HLS Series expands Power-One's extensive Distributed Power Architecture (DPA) product line, which includes high performance DC/DC converters as well as AC/DC front ends. In addition to being one of only a few manufacturers that can provide complete DPA power solutions, Power-One is one of only a few power conversion equipment manufacturers that also provide board-level, systems-level, and site level communications power solutions.
Low Profile Combined with High Efficiency
This low profile power solution allows customers to place their circuit boards closer together so that they can reduce the overall size of their systems. In addition, the high electrical efficiency of this device produces less heat, which reduces systems level cooling costs.
