It isn't a Texas thing, it's a capitalist thing. Socialized power distribution is a huge mistake. Regarding NT/AMCC remember AMCC supports only a piece of NT. To that end I am repeating a post from the Yahoo long club. This post was later confirmed as real. Zeabow10 Message 2189 of 2210 "I read this message on the AMCC board on Friday (post #45635), but I didn’t post it here because there wasn’t a link. I suspected that it may have been false info, especially since it seemed to have a typo in it (month instead of months) and it was posted on numerous boards by a username (ematrader) whose only posts were this one. ********************************************************************** 12:01PM Nortel Networks (NT) 17.83 -0.36 (-2%): -- Update -- In pre-market comments, Dain Rauscher Wessels stated that channel checks performed by firm indicated that orders for Nortel's OC-12 and 48 products began picking up a couple of weeks back, with the long-haul products (OC-192) showing improvement in the last week or so; these are the first positive data points firm has seen in the last couple of month. ********************************************************************** However, a posting on netcog.com, appears to substantiate this news. netcog.com; The majority of the AMCC revenues is from OC-12 and OC-48 sales, not the OC-192, so the above news is good. But we will get painted by the larger brush stroke, use this as a buying opportunity, if it gets low enough. Last I checked AMCC was off 1 pt AH. CSCO has made similar noise in the last 3 weeks, but again Opticals are only 10% of their overall sales.
