So what?? Did the Palestinians have friends before? That's always been the Palestinians' predicament with the US, btw: they either deal with a "friendly" Democrat Prez --who's surrounded by Jewish advisers-- or with an offish Republican one who's gonna flat-footedly stick to the US national interests...

But you can't have it both ways, Carolyn: keep 100% control over Jerusalem AND a peaceful relationship with Arab neighbors. That's why you've equipped yourself with all that military hi-tech and "jackboot gear", after all. As I said before, Israeli hawks use the state of war and Arab hostility as a political cement --to bind the Israeli fabric together.
