[World DRAM Price] Decline Trend Continues; Large User Prices Likely to Fall Below US$5
March 28, 2001 (TOKYO) -- A world DRAM price survey by ICIS-LOR showed that the moving average prices of 128Mb DRAMs (PC133, 16M x 8) for large users during the 30-day period from Feb. 8-March 9, 2001 were US$5.37 in North America, US$5.06 in Europe and US$5.34 in Asia. The prices are likely to fall under US$5.00 in the succeeding week.
ICIS-LOR has bases in London, Houston, and Singapore.
Compared with DRAM prices for the previous 30-day period ending March 2, the prices declined 5.01 percent in North America, fell 7.74 percent in Europe and also decreased 4.68 percent in Asia.
For memory modules, the spot price of 128MB DIMMs (PC133) dropped 6.47 percent to US$32.50, 3.40 percent to US$34.41 in Europe and 5.22 percent to US$33.27 in Asia.
