Freedom of speech is of such a high priority that clear corruption must be shown

That's a thoughtful position Neocon. But those who give this (almost) carte blanche to free speech can find themselves defending the odd proposition that money is free speech.

For example, take an environmental resolution that a petrochemical company wants to defeat. They spend five million dollars and saturate the airwaves. The supporters of the resolution have $100,000 and are reduced to occasional radio ads and leaflets.

Is the petrochemical company's money non-restrictable free speech? or restrictable advertising?
