I had to laugh at your response. Then cry.
If the form factor becomes universal then it can succeed on that, but maybe Sony sounded the deathknell when they came up with yet another incompatible memory.

I am amazed at your report of Palm/Sd card. There are lots of applications for memory cards in Palms. Pictures, large databases (maps, reference data, dictionaries, courses, etc), backups to name but 3. I'm staggered he couldnt come up with a soundbite along those lines.
