I wonder if this excerpt from the latest press release explains Dr. Langes departure?... The product also includes a Java-based VoiceXML custom extension API that enables customers to add their own proprietary tags to extend the VoiceXML standard. This provides an unparalleled level of flexibility, giving developers the ability to create new functionalities and build services beyond what is currently supported by the standard. A powerful VoiceXML debugger completes the product by allowing line debugging of VoiceXML scripts. With this new product, maybe the R&D for the Java and Aglet stuff is finally built out for all intents and purposes, and the agent technology was found to be just a little too forward looking for the market at this point in time. Cut costs on R&D and push the new software... sounds like a plan. It would be nice to see a few more licensees step up to the plate now. Obviously, as evidenced by the price and volume action of the stock, the market isn't too impressed<gg> I'm going to visit the web site to get some more insight on this before I jump to any conclusions...it looks interesting though.
