I worked a few blocks from the fish market for 15 years. Live in Virginia. That odor that you find so charming first hits on the ramp from northbound 14th Street to Maine Avenue. I bicycled to work for a number of years. The bike path provides even more exposure to the odor. Not something about which I'll ever feel nostalgic.
