I think that was the Jerry of old talking there. It is also likely they could have shipped a 1.5GHz Athlon in January, even if it needed a 100 watt Peltier and a 450 watt power supply. A list of processors and max power consumption was released late last year, Tom had it on his site, so there was at least some groundwork laid for it. But the P4 proved not to be formidable competition, so it got back-burnered. Now I think it still should have been released and priced at $1000, but I guess they didn't feel the need.
